Tom Faia began his career as a solo artist and songwriter for A&M Records before moving to Nashville where he wrote for a number of publishers. His songs have been recorded by Hall of Fame inductee Barbara Mandrell and rock legend Dobie Gray. Returning to his hometown of Monterey California he continued to perform solo and with his band, the Juice, recording five CDs.
Then, five years ago he teamed up with local singer Kate Miller. Kate had performed with many local bands before taking a break to raise a family. Her vocals enhance every song with warmth and energy and there is a chemistry between them that audiences love. The rest is history. They are performing up and down the Central Coast of California and have released four CDs that have all charted and received excellent reviews. Their previous release, Risk It All For Love, reached #1 on the Roots Music Radio charts in 2023. They recently released their fifth album, Bad For Each Other, this summer 2024. You may listen to and purchase Tom and Kate’s albums on their Music Page.
Opening for Tom and Kate is our own Marky Starks
“Marky is a natural story-teller. There is an ease and familiarity with her songs that resonate within us all. They pull you in, rather than leave you on the outside observing. Her humor can be subtle, or whack you upside the head, but it’s always clever. Her performances are engaging, honest with a homey sensibility that will capture your heart.”
– Sherry Austin, Singer/Songwriter
