The Juncos deliver high-energy, foot-stomping roots music embracing several American music traditions. Growing up listening to Hank Williams, Robert Johnson, Flatt and Scruggs, Woody Guthrie, early jazz, ragtime, field hollers and gospel, Joshua Lowe keeps with the American roots tradition and takes the lo-fi, less-is-more approach to playing. “There’s beauty in simplicity. I like the rawness of just acoustic guitar and voice. I appreciate it. I consider that a sacred part of music.”
With poignant storytelling featuring close harmonies and wide-open landscapes, Ship of Thieves provide a fine blend of acoustic originals and familiar classics. Steve Nail, mixing decades folk, rock and country with relatable songs of love, loss and working class life. Chris Rogers draws on folk, bluegrass, blues and jazz traditions. With a curiosity cultivated from a musical family, Chris is a talented multi instrumentalist with a great voice of his own.
