Songwriter Rags Rosenberg offers wry reflections on life's big questions. His inspiration and adopted name "Rags" come from what W.B. Yeats called, "The foul rag and bone shop of the heart." Dylan and Cohen are primary influences. His most recent CD, Song of the Bricoleur, debuted at The Mug last year. He also just recorded his first protest song, "This Ain't America" in time for the No Kings Day march. It can be heard on his website.
"Rags writes melodic music for mature people. His style is reminiscent of the music of Leonard Cohen. As a music promoter & radio host, I commend his music to your ears." - Craig Boyer KKRN, 88.5, Round Mountain, California
Rosenberg is also the author of the poetry collection "Raised in the Shadow". His poems have appeared in several poetry journals. https://ragsandbonesmusic.com/
Ginny Mitchell grew up in Santa Cruz, moved to Canada and won Canadian County Music Association's Best New Female Vocalist Award (1986). This led to touring with Tammy Wynette, k.d. lang, Ricky Skaggs, Asleep at the Wheel, Greg Allman, and others.
Eventually Ginny returned to Santa Cruz as an established and versatile singer of Americana and country, as well as swing jazz. Ginny's current style is a rootsy mixture of country, folk and Americana. Ginnymitchell.com
