A tribute to John prine music
Diamonds in the Rough
Jim Rosenberg and Paul Logan
Sunday november 2nd, $20
6pm show · doors at 5:30
Local Santa Cruz seasoned musicians Jim Rosenberg and Paul Logan
team up to create “Diamonds In The Rough”, an acoustic duo that
authentically captures the essence of John Prine and many of his
legendary classic songs. Reminiscent of the magic combination of the
John Prine/Steve Goodman era, Rosenberg and Logan combine acoustic
guitars, bass and vocal harmonies to bring you such classics as
“Souvenirs”, “Sam Stone” and “The Accident” as well as John’s post-
Goodman gems. Says Rosenberg, “I’ve been playing his songs and have
been a lifelong fan and self-appointed apprentice since 1970.” Paul has
appeared on recordings with Al Jardine, Brian Wilson, Steve Miller, Neil
Young, David Crosby, Glen Campbell, Lucinda Williams and Lyle Lovette.
DIR has performed at Michale’s On Main, El Vaquero Winery, and
Private Parties and has a pending engagement with Kuumbwa Jazz
Center. All venues in Santa Cruz County, California.
“If you love John Prine like I do, you will appreciate Diamonds in the
Rough. Their love and respect for his music were on full display, and
the packed house loved their show.” -
Michael Harrison, owner Michael's on main.
“I love these guys. I love John Prine and I love this duo. They always
bring a great crowd with them”
. Bob Prikansky, Owner, El Vaquero Winery
