George Christos and John Begley, otherwise known as “Those Guys” have been performing in the Santa Cruz area for more than 45 years. They cover a blend of pop, folk, country, Americana, and blues from the 60’s and 70’s, with lots of tight vocal harmonies backed by guitars and mandolin. George also adds his original songs and John plays a variety of original instrumentals for solo guitar.

George’s original songs are vivid stories of life experiences and observations. John’s original instrumentals range from slow ballads to lively Celtic and Latin, carrying a strong melody line. They also enjoy seeing the audience

join in with well-known cover material.

This will be the 4th time they have played for us at the Mug over the last dozen years. We welcome them back! Please come along and be prepared to join in on some of the classic covers.
